Summer Songs

My recipe for how to start the summer right: find yourself an axe and an ipod and a joint, mosey on over to your local park, cut down a tree, break it down into reasonably-sized logs, build a little cabin, light it on fire and crank up your ipod - watch it burn while listening to:
These Days by Nico (please do not confront Nico with her failures, she has not forgotten them - light up that joint when she stops her rambling), Big Drop by Black Dice (you'll want to keep your eyes glued on the fire for about 16 minutes of this song, but do not walk into the fire), and Will to Love by Neil Young (sit down and be one with your spirit animal - your high should have mellowed out by now - take off your clothes and burn them - yeah, you've got the will to love).

The 3 song challenge will soon return with a vengeance. I realized that my first mix had set such a high benchmark (of stupidity) that the rest of you were too blog-timidated to post your mixes against it. As I type this, my team is hacking out the blueprints for a new mix that is more attuned to this summer's hyphie/tweemo/pookapeep vibe.

Ya heard meh! Crank up dat i-pod, get yo booty on the dance floor, and shake it like a polaroid picture (as if it were 2004).

no here was my idea. And I'm still gonna do it but fuck it was hard. It would have blown you dudes away.

3 song mix:

1. A "B"
2. B "C"
3. C "D" or if you're some kind of god: C "A"

it's hard enough to find songs, let alone include good ones.

here's where I got so far:

1. The Owls "Air"
2. Air "....."

or a more direct idea:

1. The Smiths "Pretty Girls Make Graves"
2. Pretty Girls Make Graves "...."

just using the last part of the song is easier:

1. Cut Copy "Saturday"
2. Saturday Looks Good to Me "Ultimate Stars"
3. Stars "Ageless Beauty"

but the goal is to use the one word title.

OMG, your challenge format bloggles my mind. How about:
1. Black Sabbath "Iron Man"
2. Iron Man (aka ghostface killah) "Iron Maiden"
3. Iron Maiden "The Number of the Beast"

Yeah, I cheated on #2, but I made up for it in #3 by referencing Buck's blog post.
